Once understood as the Cattle Capital of the country, Willcox was is the middle of the hustle and bustle of the old west. With the railway going through the center of town it was an ideal area for the shipment of not just cattle however any kind of goods produced in the area that were delivered throughout the United States. Inbound trains brought products that were needed in the northern part of the county. Fort Bowie and the local mining community of Dos Cabezas had many of their supplies come in through the railroad. The rough and topple old west can be felt throughout the town and some it's old building, a lot of which lie on Railroad Avenue. The vibrant history of the cowboy and the cattle that he lived with can be seen at the Hall of Fame which lies at the Rex Allen Cowboy Museum.
